Where we provide specific services, e.g. Healing Circles workshops, these may involve access to other types of personal data and more sensitive special category personal data, such as data concerning health personal data revealing racial or ethnic origin.
How we get the information and why we have it
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you as a Member or supporter of UKABPsi for one of the following reasons:
Attendance at an event organised by UKABPsi or in partnership with another organisation
Responding to enquiries submitted via our website or other medium regarding our products and services
Administering annual Membership registration and delivery of membership services
Providing updates to individuals regarding events and activities
Sharing marketing and promotional material relating to future UKABPsi events or other events run by our sister organisations that we think may be of interest to you.
What we do with the information we have
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:
Your consent – your engagement in workshops / healing circles / promotional marketing materials
You are able to remove your consent at any time by withdrawing from a session. If you withdraw your consent by leaving a session and personal data that we have obtained from your attendance at the session is not required for any other overriding reason, we will stop processing / holding your personal data.
We will seek to obtain your consent for your video / photographic image to be used on our website, social media or promotional materials. Whenever you provide consent, you maintain the right to withdraw this consent at any time by contacting info@ukabpsi.co.uk

We have a contractual obligation – Annual Membership services & ticket sales, administration of events

In limited circumstances we may need to record / process and share more sensitive personal data to ensure that we meet our duty of care and safeguarding responsibilities. The lawful basis for this is pursuing our legitimate interest and the public interest in safeguarding the welfare of individuals. The additional condition for this processing is provision of confidential support services.
Marketing & Promotion
If you are a Member, supporter or express an interest in our services, we will retain your details on our mailing list and send you marketing / promotional information about similar products and services we offer unless you opt out of receiving such communication.
Information Sharing
Where information we receive triggers a potential safeguarding or other risk we may have a duty to share limited information with the relevant statutory bodies or emergency services as appropriate.

How We Store Your Information
All personal data processed is held by UKABPsi and not shared with any of our parent / sister organisations. Your information is securely stored with access restricted to those with a business need to know.
We will store personal data via our 3rd party service providers. Our emails are hosted via Microsoft Outlook and we also use other external providers such as MailChimp, Eventbrite and TicketTailor.

Contact details – 3 years from first contact
Attendance at Events – 3 years from last attendance
Video / Photos – Specific to the Consent provided
Sensitive / special category personal data relating to safeguarding or other concerns – 1 year from trigger of concern
